What we do
We take one set of details from you and put it to the lenders on our panel most likely to fit your circumstances. Depending on the product and your position, we may arrange finance through a panel lender, or provide it directly. We'll tell you which applies to your enquiry before you commit to anything.
We work in the mid-market — enquiries of $10,000 and above. Below that figure, other products almost always serve borrowers better, and we'd rather point you elsewhere than take a fee for something that doesn't help.
How we're paid
Where we arrange finance through a panel lender, that lender generally pays us a commission on settlement. This does not change what you pay. Where we provide credit directly, our income is the interest and fees on the loan itself. Full details of commissions we may receive are set out in our Credit Guide, and you can ask us for a reasonable estimate in relation to your specific enquiry at any time.
What we won't do
- We don't advertise a rate we can't deliver. If you see a rate on this site, it will be a real one from our panel with the comparison rate alongside it.
- We don't claim guaranteed or instant approval. No credit provider in Australia can guarantee approval before assessment, and anyone who says otherwise is misleading you.
- We don't publish reviews or ratings we can't substantiate.
- We don't take on enquiries where a government benefit is the only source of income. That's not a judgement — it's that the products we can access won't help, and pretending otherwise wastes your time and damages your credit file.
Who we can help
What lenders look at
- You're 18 or over and an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- You have some regular income — from work, self-employment, superannuation, investments or a pension
- You're borrowing an amount you can service comfortably — most of our panel starts around $10,000
- You can comfortably meet the repayments alongside your existing commitments
Every lender on the panel weighs these differently, so none of it is a fixed cut-off — send the enquiry and we'll tell you honestly what is and isn't available. If money is already tight, the National Debt Helpline offers free, independent financial counselling, with nothing to sell you.
